UBC-9000 Scanner covers frequencies from 25 to 550 and 760 to 1300 MHz, with a gap on UHF-TV. It offers 500 channels divided into 20 banks, with 25 channels per bank. The scan and search speed is impressive at 100 channels/steps per second or 300 steps per second with 5 kHz steps. The scanner supports AM, NFM, and WFM modulations with 5, 12.5, 25, and 50 kHz steps.

In terms of sensitivity, the UBC-9000 Scanner ranges from 25 to 512 MHz with a sensitivity of 0.4µV, 118 to 136 MHz, 225 to 399 MHz with a sensitivity of 1.0µV, and 406 to 1300 MHz with a sensitivity of 0.6µV. Its selectivity is at -6dB/-50dB for AM/NFM with bandwidths of 12 kHz/25 kHz.
